About Us
How it started
The project began in 2016 with Armando and Luís, longtime friends, both with a passion for nature, making pieces for their homes for the pleasure and distraction that these crafts provide.
Over the years, our work expanded, driven by requests from friends and friends of friends who saw and appreciated our work. Later, we decided to diversify the pieces we worked on, from lamps to candle holders, to coat racks… we evolved, but always focused on the principle, which is Mother Nature who challenges and inspires us to create our pieces from the “leftovers” she offers us to work with.
Since both worked in management positions and had limited time, projects were done on weekends, when family availability allowed and the desire to work outweighed the desire to rest.
In a new and decisive step, the younger generations of the family began to suggest and challenge: why not launch a brand so we can also showcase and present these works to the public… and so, at the end of 2024, the LAMS Woodcrafts project was born.
With the same passion as always and with the vision of sustainability that has always been part of this project, the story behind LAMS Woodcrafts is nothing more than the desire to do something meaningful and rewarding.
Together, we've found a way to combine our best skills, creativity, and technical expertise, learning and challenging ourselves to make our dreams a reality. We couldn't be happier doing what we love: creating unique and sustainable pieces.
