Each LAMS Woodcrafts combination piece is a meeting point between the solidity of wood and the lightness of raffia — two distinct materials, handcrafted with the same respect and dedication.
The wooden base, shaped by time and handcrafted, is cleaned, sanded, treated against insects and fungi and sealed before receiving a smooth finish with natural beeswax, preserving the marks, cracks and imperfections that tell its story. The lampshade, in turn, is created from a wire structure molded and welded manually, to which the paper raffia is intertwined, fiber by fiber — forming a unique pattern of shadow and light.
This process combines technique, patience and sensitivity, resulting in pieces that do not hide the hand of those who made them. We value the natural rhythm of the materials and celebrate their authenticity — because we believe that true beauty lies in imperfection.
