ECLIPSE is, above all, a suspended decorative piece that uses light to create ambiance.
Its organic and restrained form evokes a body in suspension, where light does not impose itself, but insinuates itself.

The paper raffia, applied manually strand by strand, softens the intensity of the bulb and allows the light to subtly project into the spaces between the strands, creating plays of shadow and a warm, enveloping atmosphere. The result is a diffused light that creates ambiance, more emotional than functional.

Each ECLIPSE is handmade and features natural variations in texture and form, making each piece unique. It wasn't designed to directly illuminate a space, but to transform it. It functions as a centerpiece in a living room, a bedroom, or over a table, where the light serves the environment, not the other way around.

Process

Handcrafted with dedication and attention to detail, LAMS lampshades are the result of an artisanal process that respects time, materials, and the uniqueness of each piece.

The wire frame is shaped and welded manually, with patience and precision, forming the base upon which we apply the paper raffia - fiber by fiber, in an interweaving that gives shape, texture, and soul to the piece.

Each knot, each pattern, and each variation in raffia style tells a different story. We embrace the imperfections and unique features of the handcrafted work as part of its beauty - because we believe that authenticity resides in irregularity.

More than just functional objects, LAMS Woodcrafts lampshades combine art, materials, and light, designed for those who value authenticity, simplicity, and the beauty of handcrafted work.
