Born from the heart of the Alentejo, RECO is a celebration of the vital cycle of the montado and the organic shapes that nature sculpts in the silence of the earth. This unique piece is crafted from a recovered piece of cork oak, a dense, dark wood marked by years, salvaged after forest maintenance work.

Observing the geometry of the log, the tree and the random cuts made by man had already shaped everything: an expressive silhouette that refers to the snout of the animal which, over generations, found its sustenance in the cork oak. We call it RECO, in an affectionate tribute to the ancient cycle that unites the tree, the acorn, the animal, and the earth.

The contrast between the deep rusticity of the dark wood, the solid brass lampholder with a rotary switch, and the warm glow of the amber filament bulb (2200K) creates a uniquely welcoming atmosphere. When lit, the light envelops the knots and grooves of the wood, transforming this piece into a living sculpture that brings the memory and warmth of an Alentejan twilight into your home.

📦 Unique Piece (01/01): Entirely handmade in our atelier in Portugal. Because it is sculpted from cork oak wood, this lamp is unrepeatable - there is not, and never will be, another identical example in the world.

Process

We produce with passion, in an artisanal and sustainable way, creating objects that go beyond functionality – they are living expressions of nature transformed with dedication and art. Each LAMS Woodcrafts piece is carefully handcrafted, cleaned, sanded, treated against insects and fungi, and pore-filled before receiving a smooth finish with natural beeswax. We value every mark of time, every crack, and every knot because we believe that wood is already beautiful in itself. Instead of shaping the wood to our needs, it is our work that adapts to it, ensuring that each piece is unique, authentic, and unrepeatable.
