UMBRA
Table lamp made of "black swamp chestnut" wood, over 2,000 years old.

UMBRA is born from shadow and time.
The base is made of swamp black chestnut, a rare European wood that remained submerged for over two millennia in an oxygen-free environment. Throughout that time, the wood did not rot. It transformed. It partially mineralized, darkened throughout its mass, and gained an almost stony density.
The base's shape respects the material's natural fracture. Nothing was disguised. The flat surfaces were adjusted just enough to allow for the passage of the electrical cable, insertion of the rod, contact, and stability. The rest is visible time.
The light rises subtly through a metal rod and is filtered by a handcrafted lampshade, creating a warm, calm, and introspective atmosphere.
UMBRA is not a decorative lamp.
It is an object of silent presence, designed for spaces where fewer objects mean more intention.
