Each LAMS Woodcrafts combined piece is the meeting of the solidity of wood and the lightness of raffia - two distinct materials, handcrafted with the same respect and dedication.
The wooden base, shaped by time and transformed by hand, is cleaned, sanded, treated against insects and fungi, and its pores are sealed before it receives a smooth finish of natural beeswax, preserving the marks, cracks and imperfections that tell its story. The lampshade, in turn, is born from a wire structure shaped and welded by hand, into which paper raffia is woven, fibre by fibre - forming a unique design of shadow and light.
This process combines technique, patience and sensitivity, resulting in pieces that do not hide the hand of the person who made them. We value the natural rhythm of the materials and celebrate their authenticity - because we believe true beauty lies in imperfection.
