Born from the heart of a centuries-old cork oak, GEMINI is a pair of table lamps that celebrates duality, balance, and the indivisible connection of matter. Carved from a single slice of time-aged wood, each piece represents the complementary half of the other, holding centuries of memory and resilience within its growth rings and rough bark.

The curved and organic design of the cork oak bases contrasts with the elegance of the golden stems and the lightness of the hand-woven lampshades made from natural paper yarn. When lit together, they project a warm, symmetrical, and deeply inviting illumination, casting cozy shadows that transform any space into a haven of serenity.

Designed to harmonize an entrance sideboard, a living room console, or two designer bedside tables, the GEMINI lamps are not just sources of light; they are a dual, living sculpture where Mediterranean rusticity meets contemporary minimalism.

Process

Each LAMS Woodcrafts combined piece is where the solidity of wood meets the lightness of raffia - two distinct materials, handcrafted with the same respect and dedication. Hand-cut from a slice of recovered centuries-old cork oak, preserving its original bark and growth rings, shaped by time, and artisanally transformed, it is cleaned, sanded, treated against insects and fungi, and pore-filled before receiving a smooth finish with natural beeswax, preserving the marks, cracks, and imperfections that tell its story. The lampshade, in turn, is born from a hand-shaped and welded wire structure, into which paper raffia is interwoven, fibre by fibre, forming a unique design of shadow and light.
This process combines technique, patience, and sensitivity, resulting in pieces that do not hide the hand of their maker. We value the natural rhythm of materials and celebrate their authenticity because we believe true beauty lies in imperfection.
We produce with passion, in an artisanal and sustainable way, creating objects that go beyond functionality - they are living expressions of nature transformed with dedication and art.
